Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions people ask most before working with Focused Financial Group, a financial advisory practice at One Overton Park in Atlanta, GA. If your question is not here, call 770-250-7588.
Where is Focused Financial Group located?
One Overton Park, 3625 Cumberland Blvd., Suite 1000, Atlanta, GA 30339, in the Cumberland area near the Cobb County and Fulton County line. We meet in person at the office or by video.
Who do you work with?
Business owners and executives, and individuals and families going through a transition such as marriage, a new child, a home purchase, a job change, retirement or the loss of a spouse. Most clients are in metro Atlanta, and our advisors are licensed in a number of other states.
What does it cost to meet with you?
The first meeting is free and carries no obligation. If we go on to work together, compensation depends on the services and products involved and may be commissions, fees or both. Our Form CRS, linked at the bottom of every page, explains this, and we review it with you before you decide.
What should I bring to a first meeting?
Recent statements for investment and retirement accounts, your insurance policies, a rough picture of income and expenses, and any questions. We can start without them.
Do you only work with people who have a lot of money?
No. We work with people at many stages, from a first 401(k) to a business sale. What matters is that you want a plan and are willing to work through it with us.
Are you connected to Principal?
Yes. Our advisors are registered representatives of Principal Securities, Inc., and insurance products are issued by Principal Life and Principal National Life Insurance Company and other carriers available through the Preferred Product Network. Focused Financial Group is not an affiliate of any company of the Principal Financial Group.
Will you work with my CPA or attorney?
Yes, with your permission. Coordinating with them is part of how we plan. We do not provide tax or legal advice.
How often will we meet?
Depending on your needs, reviews may be quarterly, semi-annual or annual, with calls in between when something changes.
How do I check an advisor's background?
Use FINRA's BrokerCheck (brokercheck.finra.org), linked at the bottom of every page, or the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site.
